Culture Meets Culture

The Busan Biennale 2002 was held at Busan Museum fo Modern Art, Haeundae Beach, Asiad Sculpture Plaza, etc. from September 15th to November 22nd. 133 artworks from 40 countries were exhibited under the theme of 'Culture Meets Culture'.
The subject matters of the event were the everyday life of petit bourgeois, urbanity and the city Busan, succeeding in eliciting the mutual communication with the public. In particular, the free outdoor exhibiions like the ones at Haeundae Beach and Asiad Sculpture Park drew a great attention with unique environment-themed works, attracting as many as 17 millions visitors.
