On The Same Plane as Pentagon


O"zer's work reflects various social conflicts - including the ongoing racial problems in Turkey - and the history of such conflicts that have trampled upon human dignity and freedom. For the Contemporary Art Exhibition he installs a traditional Turkish Kebab cooker, but instead of meats and vegetables, he puts the photos of those in political exile on the skewer. As we have to eat to continue our life, we may have to eat the food of freedom to keep our dignity.
