Brambilla, Marco

Superstar

As a director who made most popular films such as Demolition Man (1993) and Excess Baggage (1997), Brambilla puts suspense and wonder into his visual work of repetitive composition. Using a panorama vision revolving 360 degrees and a digital technology sensing even to one five hundredth of a second, he changes images of a man falling from high above into those floating in the air. He catches the intangible time and gravity into a real thing, and displays Manhattan, the archetype of vertical city.
