Nekropolis

Bernstrup is programming for the visitors an unexpected encounter during an imaginary walk through urban places which are ¡®constructed¡¯ on video games. Though his imaginary city is based on such established spaces as the Potsdam plaza of Berlin and la Defense of Paris, the main focus is on featureless landscapes of city like Rem Koolhaas¡¯ ¡®generic city¡¯. It is very similar to images of anonymous city on the screen of computer games. This is why he calls the urban space in the games a new kind of public place, that is, a place for the gamers.
