When we were little kids
Botto & Bruno

When we were little kids

We would feel a sense of anxiety, impatient waiting, and stopped time at the sight of anonymous and dreary landscapes of suburban areas of metropolis with warehouses, vacant lots, new building sites, or factory ruins. Although they were born and live in such a circumstance, Botto and Bruno want to give to the obsolete parts of city a common urbanity and a fantastic peculiarity. Under the influence of films by Antonioni, Pazzolini, and Kustrica who have proven the margins of city to be beautiful places, they compound photos of suburban areas into a new mural-sized landscape. Deserted space and time in their work comes to radiate in the air of neo-realistic films or SF films.
