Park is an artist from Busan who has been participating in the Sea Art Festival for many years with affection and devotion. First-round review of document submissions for the International Competition makes a selection of 40 artworks from 16 countries
With 45% increase in the number of submissions compared to 2011, 109 artworks from 25 countries were submitted to the International Competition for the Sea Art Festival 2013, and after the first-round review, 40 works from 16 countries were selected.
Now accepting second-round model submissions for the International Competition
The Sea Art Festival 2013 will be accepting second-round model submissions through June 21, 6 P.M., and soon proceed to the final selection.
The Sea Art Festival 2013¡¯s invitational artists have been selected
The Sea Art Festival 2013 has finalized on 15 invitational artists from 7 countries. Tallur L.N., a contemporary artist from India, Craig Costello, a street artist from the United States, Jun-Seop Sim, Man-Young Jeong, and Dong-Hoon Seong, are of the 15 artists, who are currently in the process of outlining plans for their works.
Seeking the identity of Busan Biennale (the first workshop in 2013)
For its new leap, the Busan Biennale will hold a workshop where intensive discussions will be carried to explore and establish the identity of the Busan Biennale and its long-term vision. From June 20 through 21, at Busan Design Center Seminar Room, a workshop will be held in participation of the previous year¡¯s Artistic Director and experts where discussions on the analysis and assessment of the Busan Biennale¡¯s current state will be carried.
Busan City confers posthumous honors on the late Doo-Shik Lee, the Executive Director of the Busan Biennale Organizing Committee
A posthumous achievement award was given to the late Doo-Shik Lee by Busan City to honor his significant contributions as the Executive Director to the rise of Busan Biennale¡¯s international status and cultural development in Busan.
What changes have been happening in the Busan Biennale Executive Office?
The Busan Biennale Executive Office has reorganized its structure, integrating Exhibition Support Team (administrative) and Exhibition Team (executive) into one to allow faster decision-making and cooperation in PR.

The renovated website integrates our old website, which was divided into multiple split pages, into one and supports four languages: Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese.
