As a young child Lee loved and was fascinated by robots. Robots stirred his imagination and creativity and robotic heroes such as Taekwon V, Mazinga Z and Mechander V taught and instilled in him a sense of justice and inspired his childhood dreams. The realities of adulthood have since squelched these youthful fantasies. Lee has witnessed his friends, his father as well as himself give into the pursuit of financial security. They have all have turned to fighting for economic success rather than childhood dreams.

What would it be like if gigantic robots really existed? Could the blow of a robot’s gigantic fist re-kindle the child’s imagination? Could it lead us to believe that robots really do exist? The artist hopes to engage the imagination in a playful way, creating a place, away from the hustle and bustle of our hectic everyday lives, where imagination and play once again come alive.
