Echoes of the Sea
Sculptural Installation representing 3 cubic forms of which 2 are actually visible made out of hollow steel beams which are welded together and 1 imaginary cubic form which is created in the center space between the 2 steel cubes in which a vertical steel rod is placed. The 2 steel cubes have each 25 steel wires which are fastened to one side of the cube and tied together in one center spot on the opposite side of the cube which is again connected with steel wires fastened to the vertical steel rod in the center space of the installation. The steel rod is also dug into the sand and has at various heights drilled holes in the steel which produces sounds.
