Park's work attempts to give form to the imaginary and fantastical, championing imagination creativity and myth. In his elaborate body of work, Fairyland, he constructs realistic representation of mythical figures set within enchanted fantasy worlds. His blue fairy, perched atop a blossoming flower is his latest addition to this ever-evolving magical world.

Park insists on the importance of imagination and fantasy, opposing a rationalistic and scientific worldview. The modern world, he seems to suggest, has come to disregard such myths and invisible worlds, dismissing them as childish fiction, a position Park argues is limited and limiting. Park 's work creates a space for unfettered play, a site where myth and mystery can flourish. His fairies are offered as visual evidence of the power of the imagination.
