The bicycle, a means of transportation, has already become an instrument of play in our lives and a fitness device for promoting the health of people today. In other words, riding a bicycle is an act of moving from one space to another, as well as a form of labor and entertainment. JUNG presents the opportunity to experience the equivalent meaning of work and play in life, through the gesture, or playing, of ¡®riding a bike¡¯. When the bicycle pedal is pumped inside the container installed at the entrance to the Dadaepo beach, energy is transmitted and the LED lines stretching out to the sea light up. The illumination conjures up the shapes of mountains, the earth, and the river. Symbolically depicting nature, this audience participatory work asks us fundamental questions on the boundary between human and nature, and life and play.
