The 2000 Pusan International Contemporary Art Festival(PICAF2000) 波(Pa)-Togetherness in life The 2000 Pusan International Contemporary Art Festival(PICAF2000) was held at Busan Museum of Modern Art, Olympic Park, Haeundae Beach, Busan Cultural Center, ect. from October 2 to November 27, 2000.
Its theme was '波(Pa)-Togetherness in life'. Around 600,000 visitors came to see 750 artworks from 37 countries(among them, 600 pieces had entered the international art fair in PICAF 2000. It established itself as the largest intergral festival of art in Korea. It also complimented as a "miracle exhibition", in that it set an exemplary, innovative exhibition model with a small-size budget. |
