Ange Leccia‘s work shows the self-reflexivity about the media called movie and video and the work concept of ready-made. In the video work <La Mer>(2014)(HD) submitted this time, the perpendicular and horizontal positions of waves are converted by minimal work, the suspended visual effect (as if the time were frozen) is maximized through the extreme slow motion, and the abstract image is shown by the close-up of the visual point in frontal position. Using the fluid medium water, this work fully reveals the solid and liquid tactile materiality of video art through the trompe l'oeil technique seemed to be solid like a rock.
