Bambi in Chernobyl
Angelika MARKUL is a Polish video artist and plastic artist. She is an artist who carries a history that includes the generation who grew up in the post-industrial era, along with bringing out the major questions that led to the changes in society. Ecology, death, the destiny of the species threatened whether they are humans or not, and the land sacrificed by the tragedy of an atomic bomb and killing warfare, such become a start for the reflection on plasticity. As its plastic objects, MARKUL includes devastated lands (such as Chernobyl, Fukushima and Baghdad) in order to premise the questions of human destiny and possible innovations, at metaphysical dimensions.
